Some of the changes we are making to open camp this year revolve around our check-in and check-out procedures. Maybe you have heard that we are requiring pre-registration and payment 2 weeks prior to camp. This is to help us comply with the best practices and should make the check in day go much more smoothly. Thanks for your patience as we are aware change can be unfortable. We're working hard to make this as smooth as possible.
To register online for camp, go to the camp website, click on the button, read the safety info and rules, then fill out the online form. Keep Scrolling. That part of the registration contains A LOT OF INFO, but you can get through it!
There is a processing fee for using the online registration service, if your church is paying or you'd rather save that money please print out the .pdf form labeled "mvcsc_registration_card.pdf" near the bottom of this page and mail it in with your cash, check, money order and/or church pay or scholarship coupon.
Space is limited this year and pre-registration is required. When all the "socially distanced" beds are full registration will close. Please get your camp pre-registration in early. Spots will be based on a first come, first served basis.
On the plus side, camp check-in should go much faster! Simply bring your camper to the campground. Stay in your car. We will have a check-in person with a clipboard list of all the pre-registered campers stationed at the front (South-East) corner of the cafeteria. Drive up to the check in person, notify them of who you are dropping off, answer a few questions, temp check, turn in meds, then drop them off at their dorm and head home. We'll get their t-shirts and schedules to them at the orientation meeting.
Please make sure to place all medicines, and a list with the camper's name, medicine name/dosages/times to be administered (breakfast, lunch, supper, bed) and other care instructions in a sealed plastic gallon baggie with the camper's name written in marker or pen on the outside. Check out will be similar. Please make sure you check your camper out with the dean when camp is over.
